Open Music Europe (OpenMusE)

Open Music Europe connects representatives of the music industry – including Culture Hub Poland – and researchers from the European Union and Ukraine.

The organisation's aim is to support the European music industry in becoming: more competitive (through accurate and transparent ways of measuring the value of music and its use in live performances, recordings and other musical activities), more equitable (by identifying situations in which music industry professionals are paid commensurately with the value of music and exposing instances of negative bias and discrimination related to gender or ethnicity), more sustainable (by developing tools that small businesses can use to measure their environmental, social and governance sustainability) and more transparent (by taking care of how big data is used in the sector and how algorithms recommend music).

Open Music Europe works with open data, open software and open policy analysis, meaning that every music industry player, regardless of size, can use these tools for free and contribute to their further development.
